James is one of those models who just makes it so easy to get great shots... When we discussed the shoot earlier in the week, James presented me with a bunch of sample shots outlining the kind of mood that he wanted to create... The images were mainly studio shots. After starting in studio, we decided to go to a location that would give the feeling of James Dean's iconic "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" photograph... Armed with the D2H, a cokin graduated filter and a reflector, we went to Service Lane 6 in Vereeniging...
I opted for monocrome only, to give a 60's feel to the shots... It was refreshing to shoot naturally, without the technical entrapments of much of my recent fashion work.... Enjoy the images.....
